Description

I’ve been making plastic mesh screen tops BEFORE ANYONE ELSE!  I use 3/8″ clear plastic and 1/4″ clear mesh netting.  Cutouts and feed doors are available upon request.  If you have plastic trim on your tank, the lid will sit on the inside ledge of the trim.  If you have a rimless tank, the lid will sit on 2″ tabs on the tank rim and the lid will sit down inside the tank approx. 1/4″.  I can build lids for just about any tank out there including the popular manufacturers such as: Red Sea, Innovative Marine, Planet Aquarium, Waterbox Aquariums, SC Aquariums, Deep Blue Aquariums and Biocubes (Coralife, JBJ, Oceanic…).  I also build lids for custom built glass and acrylic tanks.

Don’t know.  I just concentrate on what I do.  I was the FIRST person to make these type of lids and there isn’t a design or element out there I haven’t done in the past.

Tanks are assembled by hand and the actual dimensions are never spot-on compared to what the manufacturer lists.  Compare for yourself if you don’t believe me!

I used to many, many years ago but the salt creep ended up making it look very ugly.

Depends on how fat your cat is.  NO lid is guaranteed to hold a cat.  I have made modifications to reduce the chances of a cat falling through the netting, which entails using more plastic and less netting.

Sometimes creating more plastic and less mesh can make a difference.  A solid lid would definitely make a difference.  The trade off is that the lid will weigh more and cost more, and mileage will vary – but I can do it!
